Description

This is still the Acadian Village. It a old buggy. I think the rubber on the wheels was added at a later date. But then I do not know when this buggy was made. All I know it old. I bet the teenages was asking Mom or Dad to let them take the buggy out for a ride back then too. Look like a fine buggy in it heydays. But now it sits here for people to look at. Thanks for looking and comments and votes too

Acherly them teens was likely being REQUIRED to drive the buggy, hehe. What use tire treads on a passive wheel? Some little traction when pushing the chariot out of the swamp or mud? Like the backlit in-your-face lumbering of the pic.

It has to have been made after 1870 when the first iron carriages were made for the field artillery as it has steel springs and frame. Finding an authentic Civil War era even buggy is a real test of truth. 1850's? Have you noticed all the cassions are now missing from the military parks? Four wheel carts and wagons did not appear until the 1400's about when witches began to be persecuted. Some ancient engines of war had four wheel non-steerable chassis for short runs of siege (or did they?)
