Description

After driving, parking, driving and looking for 2 hours, I had almost given up on a good photo for today. I parked next to a lake on the gravel place people park to launch fishin boats and in the tree next to me were these birds, more Waxwings. I was in bird heaven even with difficult light, overcast, sun peeking from behind the birds unless I wanted to stand in the water. A thump, plop and my upper lip was purple..a sure sign these are really birds and eat berries! : ) Glad my mouth was not open. Nikon d70, raw, Sigma f/4 100-300mm, shots at f/9, ISO 300.

Yes the pastel colors are amazing and a yellow drop at the tail gives a surprising effect.
