Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I wish it was just as simple to end the winter in Swedene, lol. Beautiful shot JC, and a very sweet thing to give to our Akemi. Have a great sunday. #:O)

A restful image. I like how the fallen leaves amongst the trees on the left give a splash of contrast to the snow on the right.

It looks a lot like the bridge in Frankenmuth, Michigan. They both are reproductions of a style. It is the design that survived as quaint and tolerable.

wonderful shot brings back fond memories. We in the northestern U.S.A. used to have many of these but thet are fast disappearing. We have a tendency to modinize every thing. Therefore we lose the beauty and quaintness of these things. Thanks my friend.

Cosy little shot, Jan-Carel. A lovely light mood. We have just put forward our clocks to BST ( British Summer Time ), up here in Scotland. This is when it rains, and one can see the sun rather than just remembering it ;o) SOme say that it is only summer when we are attacked by the dreaded 'midges' ( the great blood seeking Scottish mosquitos ). The worst ones are up in the Island of Skye, I reckon. Regards, John.

very beautiful bridge and capture. I have to think about what would happen if one fell into the icy river. would be very hard to rescue them with those very fast rapids

I'll bet this place looks extremely beautiful in the summer months. I know I'd never be able to stay out of the water. What a great way to spend time with your family.
