Description
This side of the Simme river is bordered by rocks bent in thin layers. Incredible to see how trees root here. After a while, I think the roots will break apart those layers and the entire tree might fall down in the river, making place for a new generation.

Yes, this is true.. it is hard to understand how trees can live here.. I am always fascinated by places like this.. alwayws take a look when I'm there. Great image.

Nature will always find a way....as they so cleverly (is that even an english word i wonder???) put it in "Jurassic Park. Beautiful picture, and even though i can only see ever so little of that river im pretty convinced it is absolutely gorgeous to canout (spellcheck again...darn the swedish schoolsystem...sigh) on. Incredible and impressive this piece of Tree. HIs layers and the forms are fantastic to see. Mother Nature is marvelous, and every creature who disapeare let the place to another... It is amazing what bird droppings can do. It looks a very unforgiving/infertile slope, yet life clings on for a moment of its life. Cool shot!!

Interesting how whorls of bark and folds of sediment find the same plastic patterns. "Life imitates art" hardly sums up the consequence.

Fascinating rock layers; The rock looks very strong and untouched by the water. I don't think it will break that easily..

Ya, probably so. That water looks pretty darned cold right now.... and deep in that area. Strange how those rocks are like that. I wonder what type they are?
