Description

Ultrafractal 4.02 -- Photoshop 7 -- PaintshopPro 7 Here's one of the ones I was talking about that I tried to give a painted look. I "think" this one has a look like an acrylic oils painting(?). What do you guys think? My thought is that something like this might make a good canvas print(?) and doesn't really look very "digital". Again, not very "fancy" but I sorta like the colors and think something like this might go over in coastal areas like here in Florida. I've got a close-up of the guy to the right coming up, too. As to the title, I don't know - I just got a vibe like the dude peeking in from the right was pretty funny looking and couldn't remember how to spell the name of the "wingless, flightless" bird that rides on the back of the turtle all the time in the "BC" comics - lol Thanks for stopping by - and bearing with me while I'm on this "fractal painting" jag. I don't reckon I'll be buying a beret and opening a loft studio anytime soon! lol (Fine art giclee' prints of most of my work are available on archival paper or canvas - e-mail: drahcir3@hotmail.com and get busy filling that empty spot on the wall! :-)

The painted effect and lighting works very well- you are right it would "cope" well with the Floirda light - I think the local interior designers would love it. As a Brit - I dont think I understand the title!!!! I need more time to think about that

I like the composition and colours very much. Your canvas is over-textured IMHO.

I think what I enjoy the most about this image is the homemade paper texture look you have given them. Really adds a wonderful new way of enjoying fractal works. Wonderful composition Rick.. (=

Beautiful work Rick! I love the colourings in this work. It has a chalk pencil on rough-textured paper look to me. I love it! Vote

Lookie, lookie, lookie at these bright colors! How can I resist:)))) I like the funny dude as well - a different but very effective change of pace for you. I might lighten the effect of the "brushstrokes" just a tad if I were going to print this on canvas, though.

I think it be real good on canvas. Look for a print shop that will do this local and have it printed. Might cost $20 lest say. if nothing else it be a super present for some one. But I think you can sell it. Print it as big as it can and what your bank roll can take. To see how it look big blow it up in photoshop and look at the screen at let say 18x24 inches[U.S.] here you can see if it falls apart or not with the pixs. You know what you see on the screen that part of the image at 18x24 that how it will print

Rick I think it goes very well with pink Flamingoes that us here in the west associate always with Floridians. For a real painted look just a tiny bit less would be more canvas like but the paint itself could be heavier and less uniform. The skeeter is a good name for a cartoon mosquito in giant size

I like this design and the colors very much, and I tend to agree with abmlober. Especially since I've just fetched a print of mine (printed on canvas), and the material on which the image is printed makes all the difference. Just my two cents :)

I specially love the palette you used, and the composition is very dynamic too. Maybe a little too much texture for my personal taste. Well texture seems to be fine on the pink parts but too much on the pale green "background". Anyway, that's a very beautiful image, very original. Vote.

My eye got sucked into the top right corner as soon as it opened. Other than that, what everyone else says. You're still blazing the trail.
