Description

Amazing Alien from planit3d.com Originally modeled by "Antares" and rigged by "Virus" if my information is correct. The modeler's real name appears to be Franz Munz, same genius who modeled the poserized Alien Queen. This guy looks very much like the creature as seen in the Alien Resurrection and "Alien Vs Predator" films as opposed to the original creature. Poser 6, generous use of "fastscatter" and bump mapping with a math node set to "add" then attached to the texture. IBL based off the background. Also lots of alternate specular, fiddling with anistropic node. Wanted wet. Slimy. Terragen used for the background, composited in Photoshop. I love Aliens.

Wow... why not next time use the terragen image as an background. Then you can use ground shadows on the background. Then you can use the same background as IBL i do that often and it looks even better than photoshoped :} I love the image pitty hes not completly on it

Nive work. I love the slimy quality to the skin. Out of interest, where did you d/l that figure. I have a much older Alien warrior figure for Poser, but it looks nothing like this one.

Very effective and novel use of this understandably popular model. Really nice composition, expertly executed!
