Description

The sea has always "called to me". My Dad was a Sailor, the sea took him away, returned him safely to us. I often sit on a huge rock here after work is done. It is a wonderful place for thinking. I know I am blessed. Have a great week everyone. Blessed be. Thank you for looking and for kind comments. Diane.

Lovely story, honestly your image is a bit bland, the rocks are great but an angled POV would've been more interesting...

Something about this image appeals to me very much..it is bright with sunshine, yet seems sad at the same time.. I love the tide pool, as well. It adds an excellent perspective. Thank you so much for sharing the photo and story. :)

Like you, the sea has been a great part of my life since I was a child. I spend a lot of time at the ocean which renews my inner spirit, and washes away my cares and worries. To sit for hours and stare into the water has such a healing effect on me...This is a wonderful shot that exemplifies that! Aloha!

Wonderful and very beautifull. Yes, if this is your usual resting place then you, my dear, are blessed. Thankful also, that the sea returned your father.

Oh, this is so beautiful, Diane. I have to drive at least 3 hours to find something similar. I'm afraid of the sea, but I just love to walk at those rocky shores. Today I spent some time with my Dad, as it was my Moms birthday, she would have been 80. We drove for hours to find a flower shop for something to put on her grave, but all the shops were closed on Monday;-( Have a nice week!

Oh to be sitting on a rock looking out at the beach today. That would be so much better than the load I have a work right now. Oh well, this view will have to do instead. Beautiful Diane! :-)

The sky is very beautiful, with those light clouds you often can see at the coast sunny days. Nice to see how they grow smaller and tighter by the hoeizon. Wonderful colors reflecting in the water in the front. Yes, indeed there is something special with the sea. The shore is never the same from day to day. You have caught this special feeling very well here!
