Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Splendid view ! Simple but large and rich at the same times. Have you never thought about making a little framing around the photos you post ? Of course the photo would not be better, but it would increase the visual impact. It would be great to frame this one the get the most of this masterpiece.

Oh honey, I'm afraid I'd be so sea sick by the time we got there! It looks like these birds know exactly where the fish are!!! Anyone got a fishing pole? Darn!!! I wanted to try my luck! Can't wait to see what you've got next to show us.

That is one neat photo!

So many variants of inflight pose. I once had dozens of them in porcelain by an artist Perry. I gave them all away in 1983 to start a new life.

I just keep staring at this picture and forgetting the whole world around me. Not even thinking about colors, composition, lighting... just enjoying... Great quality, Jan-Carel!

Seagull's are always a delight, as long as they are not overhead. Beautiful picture and hope that the day was as nice as the photo.
