Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Very beautiful designs in this fine, fine sand! Love how you can see where the wind has created it's own art on the beach. Wonderful grasses too and the waves breaking on the beach make it all so perfect. Beautiful!! Skips along on the sand barefoot :-) V

Wonderful composition and I love the detail in the sand...Beautifully done and your words have stirred me.I'm not sure why,but something about them is kinda amazing...I think it's the awesomeness of time..."moving the sand to other places in an endless dance".Just lovely Jan-Carel.-M :^)

cool "beachy" shot! love sand almost looks furry!

Excellent shot, J-C. I love the dunes, but don't get there very often. Man is always trying to control the movement of the sand, but Nature has infinite budgets of both time and energy. The dunes will do whatever they want.
