Description

After our lunch we start to investigate this island. The dunes are partially kept together by the grasses growing on them, but where the sand is unconnected the winds play with it, moving the sand to other places in an endless dance. Through the centuries the islands dynamically change locations by these processes, both wind and water moving the sand. Very beautiful designs in this fine, fine sand! Love how you can see where the wind has created it's own art on the beach. Wonderful grasses too and the waves breaking on the beach make it all so perfect. Beautiful!! Skips along on the sand barefoot :-) V

Wonderful composition and I love the detail in the sand...Beautifully done and your words have stirred me.I'm not sure why,but something about them is kinda amazing...I think it's the awesomeness of time..."moving the sand to other places in an endless dance".Just lovely Jan-Carel.-M :^)

Excellent shot, J-C. I love the dunes, but don't get there very often. Man is always trying to control the movement of the sand, but Nature has infinite budgets of both time and energy. The dunes will do whatever they want.
