Description

The Attepegio and the Narne are the two major riverine arteries in the land of Anweh. It is a rugged land, much of it treeless. These two deep rivers thus became the major trade routes of the kingdom. (A well-known local proverb expresses it as: "Grass and rocks, rocks and grass." I'm not certain exactly what they mean by that. Perhaps, "In this country don't expect too much.") Merged, the two rivers flow for another 200 kana before they meet the sea. Pictured above is the bridge at Castle Narfuor, a famous landmark along the river routes. ************************* Credits: Background: That wonderful shearing thunderhead photo was obtained at Image After. Bridge: modeled and textured by Alfons Blom. Bird flock: a nifty primitive by Nitro. Terrains: modeled by me in Bryce 5.5 with textures by Brian Smith. Castle: modeled and textured by me, using in part a Castle Ruins Construction Kit by Transpond (RDNA). River: B5 water terrain textured by me. River Boat: Hull: by Walker Brothers, but elongated and flattened out by me. Masts, rigging, and sails: from a net freebie. I don't remember the name of the site or the modeler, but both were French. Ship's superstructure: modeled and textured by me in Bryce 5.5. Thanks for coming by and taking a look. Useful critiques and encouraging comments are appreciated. But, hey! No discouraging words--I live in Kansas after all. (grin) Jeremy
