Description

Made this for a competition that called for water. Didn't win but I like this one for some reason. My biggest complaint is the water running down his arms and back is a bit too high and I'm still not really good with postwork to fix that. I am experiencing computer problems and am on and off the system. Very frustrating but I have some good people trying to help resolve it. Credits Haloedrain's water mat Skyking crate Thanks for viewing!!

That's me a couple of days ago, (got 100% soaked in the rain). If that's "real" raindrops with motion blur, i bet this took lots of memory & awhile to render! I like jif3d's comment - A cartoonist might emphasize just a couple of bouncing/running drops to really make the concept obvious. How you do that in bryce is not simple, so I think you've done all you can - ;-) then give it a go in Maya?

That's one big bad dude! Great render! Don't know what to tell you about the water. Actually, it looks fine to me. It would be splashing and splattering off him if the rain was hard enough, so it's alright IMHO.

Wow Nancy this is superb! A lovely powerful image. Your character conveys such tension and strength and the rain enhances the whole concept. Love the muted tones with the splash of orange. Great!!!

Very powerful scene! The postwork is excellent and it looks from the water bounce on his body that the rain is very heavy!

The rain effect is very well done. He even looks like he needed a good bath. 8-) Fantastic lighting and atmosphere. You didn't win?! If you want I'll send my hero to talk with the contest's organizers... although on second thought, maybe that isn't a good idea after all. 8-) Great scene.
