www.matttidball.com The Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus, nicknamed Budgie), is a small parrot. They are often called parakeets (especially in American English), but the term "parakeet" refers to many small parrots with long flat tails. Aw isn't he cute!Yup,we call 'em parakeets.I never had one,but when I was little,I did have a canary...until he got out and flew into the mirror...sniff...I never got another bird after that...but I loved him.Lots of luck and happiness with him...and keep him away from mirrors!-M :^) Oops sorry for the edit,I thought HE was Joel,lol!

I had one of those....such a little sweetie he was. Then i got a parakite (thats the common swedish name for them) and it was white with a red mohawk. Cool little boy that was....and then came the cats...sigh. The equation just didnt add up then. Anywhoo....beautiful shot with perfect DOF. Have a great one. #:O)
