Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Excellent capture of motion. I have seen many good pictures of water in motion, but this is the first good capture of sand on the move. The colors are also unique. Bravo!

An incredible erosion and natural sculpture ! This sand is so white, it seems snow, not sand ! I love to see all these details, and the particular mood on the first plan. Very lovely Jan-Carel. Hugs. V

Magnificent composition! Great focus and depth of field. I especially love the sand bur in the foreground contrasting with unusual texture of the sand and the sharp focus on the grasses. Outsanding!

I'm with yesitis3, Jan-Carel. It could almost be an early snow fall covering a mountain side.
