Description
On April 1 (seriously, no jokes) the moon passed in front of the Pleiadies Cluster. Here is a picture of this event.
I know only astronomy geeks love this kind of thing, but it is also kind of beautiful. It made the astronomer geeks telescopes stick up in the air anyway.
Taken with a webcam. Mosaic of 5 images, each image a stck of 800 images. The stars are exposed at 20 seconds each, the bright part of the moon exposed at 1/100 second, and the Earth Shine on the dark part of the moon exposed at 1 second.
Layering etc done in PSP9.
Enjoy....

Excellent work matching exposures. Your manipulation of the moon gives it a fantastic 3-d feel -- it definitely looks like a spherical orb floating among the stars...
