Description

Location: BX Falls, Vernon, B.C. Hand Model: My good friend Rob Edited: Adobe Photoshop Taken on: 35 mm This was taken at one of my favorite locations so far, BX Falls. These are my first actual set up shots with my new camera, and Im loving the results! I still need some constructive critisism, and I wasnt sure if this image would look better lighter, with more of a sepia tone, or a dark, glowy, dreamy type of image. Any ideas? ~~ Thanx for the comments! ~~ Lashia

I don't know a thing about photography, but I really like this. Despondant, yet hopeful with the light hitting the palm in that way.

Exceptional creativity on display here. I love this set-up. Very hard to tell what it is that you could have done better. Not sure there is any. Maybe the light on his hand is a little too bright. Are you using Photoshop? If so, try to play around a little with "Shadow/Highlighs" and see what happens. Have a great day...i really liked this one. #:O)

Hmmm, all of the suggestions now and to come I'm sure, are just really different interpretations of the setup. I like this one myself, but if you're unsure, then maybe put it aside and come back to it with a fresher eye. Blowing out the highlights is one of those photo no-no's but really, art is about pushing the limits of self and boundries quite often - to me the hand overexposed aids the image in being extreme.
