Description
Yesterday I went into town and on my way back the lighting was pretty cool so I pulled over (several times) to take some shots.
This is Hamil Valley, Ca. These are the White Mountains in the background. Minimal postwork, some adjustment on brightness and contrast, and a frame! LOL :P

WOW is the response to this image. Love the shadows on the mountains, I am assuming they are from the clouds we see in the picture. Excellent capture. Glad you stopped :)

The mountains rise like a wall, the effect of the clouds brushing the snow on their summits shows just how immense they are, like natures sky-scrapers.It looks fantastic.

Kim, you sound a lot like me. Drive a few miles... stop. Drive a few more miles... stop. My family is so wonderful to me. They humor me for the first few stops, but after that they put their foot down. That's one hell of a view you've got going on here. WOW!!! It's gorgeous!! {{VOTE}}

I was thinking the same as Marlene Kim!! This is too perfect to be real! lol Amazinggg... It is all just so balanced! I love the way the colors seem to be natural layers. It looks like a huge chocolate layer cake with vanilla frosting on top...hehehe Truly stunning scenery...how do you ever get anywhere??? I'd have to stop and just gaze at this view for hours! Very very nice. I love the colors, and that cloud shadow really amplifies the difference between the ground and snow colors.
