Description

I thought I might quickly revisit Elizabeth with some shots I never posted... mixing her in with Catherine's series, Disneyland, and Aviation. Shoot Info - Shot Monday, Feb 27, 2006. The goal was to recreate World War 2 era (1940s) pin-ups and Military Aircraft nose-art of the time as best as possible with limited resources. The shoot was shot with a High Key backlight and purposly trying to make the models look more washed out for an artistic painted mimic. Turned out very well! Model - Elizabeth Ashley. Great great model, she's one of the best I've ever worked with. Fantastic ideas and a pleasure to photograph! Photo Notes - This photo was another recreation of a famous type of pose used in the 40's pin-ups. I shot it very high key so the background would be easily removed along with the table she was on. I printed out a 16x20 of this the other day, looks pretty darn awesome! I'm considering seeing if the Air Museum wants to use her for some new nose art ideas! Photo Details - Taken with a Canon Rebel EOS 5D (12mp) and Canon 28-105mm USM lens. Shot at a studio where I work in Anaheim, CA.
