Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Poor uncle Arie. First he loses his hat on the trip over and now the sand seems to be sucking him in. But... he sure does look like he's enjoying this trip with all his family around him. You're such a lucky man to have him here with you. I see there a quite a few cameramen in your family also. Marvelous photo, my friend. Thank You for sharing your family with us. {{VOTE}}

Not an easy task walking in deep sand, at his age it could be taxing. Be he looks like nothing will stop him...A cherished photo! Aloha!

Uncle Arie is very handsome indeed. I really enjoy his hiking attire... this is something new to me and not how people would dress here. I bet he has the most wonderful stories to tell too! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful family keepsake photo with us!! :-) V and a wave to Uncle!
