Description


Here's one for you, I found this little fella in our backyard chomping into one of my plants. It's a very well camouflaged catterpilla about 50mm long ( 2in ) he looks so much like a dead leaf it took me a while to convience myself it was'nt. I have not got a clue what he's called but he's cool and he is still eating my plant. Anyone as ugly as that deserves every chance he can bet.

I'm wondering if that shell like design is hard or soft. I can easily see how he would disappear in a pile of dead leaves. Also looks to be sporting a hat! You are a good person to let it go on eating. Excellent shot.
