Description

I've decided to have an exhibition of my treedoor drawings so I went to a local swamp near home to get some ideas. The photo has a little camera shake because it was hand held at about 250mm telephoto but it gives a good view of the swamp. Because of the lack of rain the water level is well down and it shows the dirt clumps which build up around the trees it also enabled us to get in further than usual. On the way out we came across the largest Death Adder snake I've ever seen, lucky it was on the way out or we would never have gone in.

Excellent shot.. wonderful inspiration. Can imagine it bathed in moonlight with fog around the tree roots and fireflies and all manner of goblins and such going about their nightly business

Great photo and 'what shake?' Just to know that there are adders in the area would have had me shaking. Keep safe as nothing else is worth it. Big HUGS!!!

Wonderful shot! I see where you get your ideas now. What an interesting spot. If I saw the adder, coming out or not, I would have said "No thanks", and look what I would have missed.

I have been outside of swamps but never this far in. I am allergic to gators and big ugly snakes-well all snakes! wonderful vista you have captured and I see no shaking
