Description

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind comments on yesterday's image. A new year has started for me now and I need to come out and be a part of it. So to start, here are a couple of simple flowers, a bluebonnet and an indian paintbrush. ...hey, it's Texas, it's what you do in the spring... go out with all the others and photograph our state flower with your kids, your grandkids, your dog, or just a sunny Sunday afternoon drive to enjoy the countryside and pastures in full bloom. I think you risk being deported from the state if you don't...:)))) It may be a tad early or it may be the drought we have had, but I haven't seen huge expanses of blooms like in years past, so I settled for some singles. Thanks for looking. :)Maria

Some of my family lives in Texas - and I understand if you don't take pictures of these flowers every spring, you will be not only deported from the state, but you have to be sent to Berkeley!! haha!!! That has to be a fate worse than death. :o) Excellent captures.

Good to see Spring is more than a rumor somewhere; here in NH we're lucky to find a few crocuses to remind us of what's coming....
