Description

Once again, a picture from a ski-trip in the mountains above Eresfjord, a small farming community on the west-coast of Norway. In the previous picture we had just started the last serious descent of the trip, and someone (Troy I think) commented that the view directly behind us had to be pretty good... Well, now you can judge for yourself - this was shot after we had reached the ridge, but before we started following it, back in the direction from which we came. If you look very closely you can actually see our tracks in the lower right part of the image. (They are pretty faint, but they're there...). This isn't stitched in any way - I just didn't reduce it any more in size since it contains a lot of details that would be lost if I shrunk it further... The body of water down there is Eresfjorden, a fjord that is connected with the one that passes in front of my home town Molde. The town lies directly behind the prominent sun-lit mountain beyond the bend of the fjord (slightly left of center). All the mountains further out towards the coast are considerably smaller than the ones we are walking into - nearly 1000m for most mountains in fact, which is why I have such a tremendous overview when I look in this direction. Hope you like it!
