I think I know what that is. It isnt ivy. It is some other kind of plant that eventually strangles the tree. Let me ak my husband because he is know such trivia. lol. I think we saw it on TV. It looks very cool though doesnt it. Lovely picture. Excellent work !!!

A dramatic and fascinating photo of this mature Ivy entwining the proud tree! A very fine picture , Richard - I think the tree is stronger than the Ivy - maybe they both have a symbiotic relationship with each other !?

Correct me if I am mistaken, but it seems to me that the ivy has been striving to kill the growth of this enormous tree for a long time. Yet, from this perspective, the tree ignores the ivys efforts and continues to grow creating beauty with its life and shade for other living creatures to adore and be thankful for as well. Applauds the tree, and cheers him/her on! Applause for the tree's photographer as well! Excellent Richard and thanks for sharing.

I've always loved sinewy old trees. They always seem to look muscular (either that or I have a one track mind). Oh, but like some men (without naming names), the creeper appears to be parasitic hehehe. You got a great angle on it. Kind regards from Naughty Granny :)
