Description

Photography is a always to me a suprizing and unknown venture into just being there and letting it happen . Being the observer and shooting the world as it comes!! . You can plan it and maybe even have the ideal in your head . But usually you have to take what is reality and go with it. haha..I was a little annoyed at the time then but now I kinda like this shot here. See I had hoped/wanted to take a picture of the new born chicks hatching for Easter . BUT THEN theres the reality. THis guy Mr. cocky Rooster!. The patriarch!!! He was alert and determined not to let me get the shot !! HE seemed to take it to heart to gaurd the hen house . I even tried to distract him with food. But he wouldnt fall for it. His duty came first. He was CLEARLY in charge.!! Now I am a patient person and waited for quite a while . But nope !! LOL Everytime I tried to get my camera near he almost pecked my lense out . ITs a very funny thing now when I look back on it but I was really WORRIED About my camera then! It is amazing to me the system and order in the Animal kingdom and how parents protect instinctively. I didn't really know roosters did this kinda protective thing until I experianced it . There were actually two male gaurding like soilders at thier posts( you can see the other on the other side in this image here ) But this guy was the most determined and fierce and no getting past his gaurdianship assertivness!! ( there was a heaveier fence from above so I knew I had to get down low to shoot.) The Hens moved and blocked my view and this rooster was determined to block me. Now I look at this shot and it makes me laugh . SO I thought I would share the story with you today!!... Havn't been on much its spring break and the girls are home and still recovering from thier illness. Thank you for all your time and comments !! ((( Big hugs ))) Love to you all!! ♥ ~ ~Kimmers ! :O) !!

WOW!! How fierce can you get? Protection is one thing, but it doesn't look like it would take much to set him into a really bad mood, and having been chased by one once, I wouldn't push his buttons. Great photo!!!!!!!! Hugs for you!!

Kimmers I do love your 'story' and I must quote a part of it: " ... Photography is a always to me a suprizing and unknown venture into just being there and letting it happen . Being the observer and shooting the world as it comes!! . You can plan it and maybe even have the ideal in your head . But usually you have to take what is reality and go with it ...". BRAVOOOOOOOO for the excellent compo, detail, lighting and theme !!!

LOL!! Great story with this image. Roosters are mean suckers. lol. Love the closeup of him. He looks very much en garde !! One time I was taking a picture of a horse, over a fence and the horse came up to me and bit me. LMAO. My friend caught it with her camera. So like you said, you never do quite know what to expect. lol. Excellent work.

WOW!! Kim!!! That is an amazing closeup shot.. and you said Rooster eh! then i can tell: A rooster crows only when it sees the light. Put him in the dark and he'll never crow. I have seen the light and I'm crowing. ;) Love your colours and the blured background which casue by the macro mode. hehe Love it alot.. And here is a big VOTE AND BIGGEST HUG for that post honey..
