Hello all!
WEll most have you have probally seen her before in my gallery. This was actually taken last fall and I never put it Up . Going thru my pictures today and thought it was a pretty and sweet one of my Janel.
It's hard seeing the little girl leave and the young adult emerging . But its part of life and I accept it .. She looks younger here than she does now even she has really grown alot in the last 6 months.. so these types of shots are dear to my heart as a Mother . They grow up to fast. A time gone by can never be recaptured. The power and beauty of photography. I have heard many say where there was a earthquake, fire or storm the first things people reach for it is thier pictures. For those of you in photography isn't it amazing to think that you could help contribute to producing what is priceless and most dear to the heart? well this is one of the pictures that I would reach for in a fire . I love this one of Janel for some reason . hmm, Maybe cause it captures a part of her sweetness that is so much a part of her!!..
This was attempt to do a portrait cause the school wanted $100 for a bad hurried shot.. lol. I thought maybe I can do better !..

Although I don't post photographs here, I have been making a living at photography for over thirty years and own a camera shop in the UK. I am often asked to judge photographic competitons and so feel qualified to to comment on this image. It's an excellent piece and yes, probably a lot better than the school photographers would produce. The exposure is spot-on and the colours work well together, overall a really nice portrait. Make the most of her, they really do grow up fast, I have one just turned thirty, another almost twenty and my youngest is seventeen and it doesn't seen five minutes ago that they were toddlers. Keep up the great work. V

How sweet! The flower seems so perfect in this lovely portrait for your daughter is like a rose in bloom. Love how her skin tones and lips match the tones of the petals and her hair just shines. They do grow up so fast but our love grows more every day. This is VERY SPECIAL. V. :O) CC

I can see the family resemblance, and brown eyes RULE! I would certainly rather have this as a school photo than a hurried shot by someone who doesn't really care anymore abt the quality of his/her work!

Wonderful Family Portrait; worth a lot more than $100, and you get both! :) What a lovely young Lady Janel is becoming! Just remind her that Peter Pan was 1st played by a young Lady, so it's OK not to grow up in to big of a hurry! ;)
