First - thank you very much for all the recent comments on my last couple of posts!
I'd really like some honest opinions on this one.
It's closely related to "Bananrama" but different colours / zoom, and is one of several related images I've got from the same upr. I wonder if it's just a bit too "pretty pretty"? I've also found it difficult to render without losing either the texture or the detail. Tomorrow I'll post the other one which has more earthy colours in it. Thanks!

I'm a big lover of honeysuckle/woodbine as a plant, and this captures some of the daintier varieties perfectly :) Uh 'pretty pretty' really depends on what you're aiming for.. I'm looking forward to seeing the earthier tones as I'm not a huge fan of pinks, but this is not an overtly saccharin image by any means, as it has some strong architectural curves to balance the colours and don't forget that many varieties of honeysuckle accurately reflect a lot of the tones you've used :) Overall, I think it's lovely with the sweeps and curls, and, as I said, I'm not a pink fluff fan in the slightest.

I think the all the brown tones and the touch of green balance out the pinks beautifully. I'm not a 'pink fluff' fan either and this definitely doesn't fall into that category. It's delicate - without being 'washed out' and the strong curves balance out the detail. It's obviously a very useful UPR you've found there!

Definitely not too "pretty pretty". The colours are not too obvious/strong and there's still enough texture to be seen to not make it look too "silky". Lovely "leafy" shapes. I agree with Mags: a very useful UPR. Hope you'll be adding more to this series :-)

I like it very much, find the colors very lovely and realistic. I have quite a lot of honeysucle in my yard and this time of the year it has these colors. The compositiong is excellent.. Great Floral fractal.

Damn your coloring is astounding ! I don't know how you do that, but it's very rich and subtle. Vote !

I really like this fractal. The colors are much to my liking. I like the white background.

Well, you asked for honesty. For my taste it is a bit too pretty-pretty yes, but then my taste tends quite far in the other direction as you know. I think it would look less pretty-pretty if it had more texture (i.e. it's not just colour choices). Aside from the pretty-pretty issue, I also think it has a bit of a compositional problem: it feels like it needs to be shifted right to me (partly due to the lack of space on the left). This is all just my taste though. I often create stuff myself and wonder whether it's too pretty - but I think it's ok to create pretty stuff and I have to make myself not feel ashamed about it. :-) Perhaps it's the same thing with you and this image. If so, then maybe it's just a question of deciding that you like it and putting it out there proudly. Or perhaps I'm just spouting rubbish... :-)

First of all, top class work. A little too busy for my taste. The leafy shapes are wonderfully colored/shaded.

I like this one more then the banana experience, it's quite more sparkling, but must say I'm curious for the 'earthed' version too!!
