Description
Spring has arrived and the harsh winter pairie is turning into a land of plenty. With the horses having recovered from the hardships of winter the time has come for the first communal hunts of the year.
Buffaloes are fast and powerful beasts but a sprinting fresh horse, even when carrying a rider, can overtake a running buffalo - if only for three to five minutes. After that the horse will tire out and the buffaloes will inevitably pull out of reach.
Our huntress - obviously a Hetaneman, a Cheyenne manly-hearted woman - has boldly dashed right into the herd. If she pulls the trigger now and manages to get out of the herd unscathed she will have gained 400 pounds of meat with one shot - enough calories to feed her for at least 200 days.
Provided she has enough assistance to process the meat within one day before it gets spoiled ;)

very nice scene....

Looks like a Yellow Boy. It's much smarter to run them off a cliff. Great job, expecially the light....

Full scene and great atmosphere - glad you found the Daz Bison?

Thanks so much for showing how great the DAZ Bison looks, especially from the front! The poor fella in front is the Daz Bison. The rest of the Herd are from Lyne's creation (sp?). They have a much less refined mesh - good for memory actually when having 1,300-odd of them in a whole herd ;) I am still not sure about the overall texture of the Daz bison. Especially the back half looks almost rather like an elephant to me ;)
