Description
Thank you for the helpful critiques on the honeysuckle pictures :-)
This is a rework of an older image "Evolution". I'm not sure if the lake transform is a bit corny, though! Again, honest critiques are welcome.

I like the delicacy of this image very much Tina, well done ;O)

I usually avoid ripples and mirrored images for considering them an "easy" solution to composition. Your lake transform looks fine but so does the upper part of the image in itself, more so to my eyes. The colours you used are fantastic.

Creative and splendid work! v

"Evolution" has always been one of my very favorites of your work - and I like this version, too! Hard to choose! I may be biased because version 1 is like an old friend. This one does look a bit more primordial:) hint: you might want to link Version 1 above so that those that might not have seen it can compare:)

The lake fits this design, very nicely. Awesome expression of the title, Tina!

Excellent and I do like the lake effect.

Thanks for your posts so far :-) Panny - I have added a link to the Evolution in the text below the image - thanks for the suggestion :-)

I like this one better, Tina. This is crisper, better defined, and to me, the colors work much better, too. IMHO, the lake effect is a must, that's what really defines the 'evolution', like, 'out of the primordial soup'! Thanks for sharing :)

What a coincidence - I was looking at the older version yesterday! I do actually prefer the older one, but this is nice too. As for the lake transform - it does get used rather a lot, but this is a nice use of it. A thought occurs to me (that might be rubbish): why not make each segment of the image have it's own Lake transform, with differing degrees of tempestuosity - that way you could use it to enhance the story from left to right. It would take a bit of technical jiggery-pokery, but I'm not aware of it having been done before, and it might make you more comfortable with the water effect if it's not so naturalistic. Just a thought... :-)

I've seen the firstone to, and I think you've enhanced this in a very artistic way. More briliance and a wonderful palette and indeed the lake effect is super! RS

Fantastic idea and outcome Very creative

I think your lake works very well with this image and gives it a good sense of depth and perspective. It's unusual with a perfect title. I've looked at both your images and find it very hard to choose. You've used different colours which create different effects but both are equally interesting and intriguing

I normally don't care for the lake effect but you have used it expertly here.. superb work

Wow, I love them both but I think the lake effect just adds to it. I like this colouring better too though the other one is great too.

Hi Tina - I prefer this one, I think the colouring is better, though the lake effect also improves the image.
