Description

Still perceivering with this style for the moment. Ive added the local community & some postwork for the lightning, flare & lens flare. All else is POser imports into MojoTree for placements & Mojo Planetscape. Im not happy with the outcome & may scrap this all together....I cant put my finger on what it is thats not right.... Not used Mojoworld myself - or should I say I have but not took to it! So I couldn't say where you think your going wrong. The foreground looks a little strange but overall looks pretty cool

In my opinion, the medium part (with population) is really fantastic. Less beautiful are the moon (too busy here) and the structures in foreground (not so interesting), but you should continue to improve this planet...

The Peeps look great (maybe they should be running scared? ;) ), how about losing the lens flare and replacing with some shockwave thing - flat ring type thats parallel to the planet.

I agree about the moon. It looks really noisy. I like the silhouetted people in the distance.

excellent work..I tend to agree about the moon and the lensflare..cropping the lower third of the image would have given it more impact...I'd keep going with this one..

Yep..must agree, moon and lower 3rd of the composition. I'm looking for shadows from the figures, I think it needs them to ground the image....a big postwork job, but you could do one and save it as an action in Photoshop and plough your way through the rest. Don't give up on this...this is the most exciting concept running.

@ All - yep your right the camera location is lousy, hence the bottom 3rd is too bland by comparison, which I tried to compensate for with the moon, which is lousy but then to balance the whole thing I added the lightning & lens flare...so it all started with a decent camera location. I`ll rework it & see how it looks. Im also contemplating some low value step steps dislacement on the verticals....if mojo approves :) So thx to all for your views:)) More to follow.

A lot of good constructive comments on this one Woz...I agree with some but not all...Personally I see the moon as a sort of "Twin planet" so I think it looks good (maybe just a little too noisy)..I agree that a more detailed foreground would create a better balance within the image..Excellent work so far...ca'nt wait to see how it turns out....I also think that Bob's "shockwave " idea is worth trying...sounds cool.

First, let me say that this picture has a lot of impact, and I wouldn't give up on it just yet. This is a great example of where you can get away with placing the strongest visual element at the center of the picture, and you've taken advantage of it. That said, you could go even further, and put the hot-spot DEAD-center, either by cropping the bottom as some have suggested, or by giving it some room at the top, which I think I would try first. One other thing: it's not clear what effect this event is having on the people. Almost all of them are standing legs apart, looking in that direction, implying that either they knew it was coming, or it's been going on long enough for them to align themselves to the view. In either case, I don't think they would be as uniformly scattered as you have them. Whether they are here for this event, or were going about other business when it happened, some of them would naturally be clustered together, and some areas of the platform would be empty. Great picture.
