Description

Well... I guess it's all over except for a few turkey sandwiches. Easter, that is... ;) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Now we all need to get in shape for (in Canada) the Victoria Day weekend... and (the U.S.) Memorial Day weekend. I wish I knew more about the "leading into summer" celebrations that are enjoyed by all of you in Europe, Great Britain, South America and the rest of the world. If anyone has the time and the inclination... I'd love to hear what's next on your calendar and how you celebrate it! :)

UF for fractal and frame... with sig in PSP. This one utilizes one of Gilles Nadeau's amazing formulas, "D4e_Julia Set" found in the gnd.ufm folder.

Thank you very much for your visits and thoughts (good, bad or indifferent) on this one... and for your gracious feedback on my previous efforts. Hugs! Helen :)

Like this a lot Helen - especially the texturing and the colours. Here in the UK our next holiday is May Day - the first Monday in May. It used to be to celebrate the first spring planting and traditionally there were maypole dances on the village green and the May Queen was chosen from all the single girls in the village. Nowadays, it's just an excuse not to go to work as it's a Bank Holiday!

This reminds me of one of my favorite "Hot Licks". Alaska King Crab claws in garlic butter sauce. Delicious as is this image. :)

wow, Helen, this really pops! I love the defined gold/yellow shapes, and the spiral texturing on that deep coral is as beautiful as the pearls! Well done!!!!

As Dr. Evil would say, one finger to the corner of his mouth, "Right...." Provocative, summery, certainly hot; and yet I must agree that it has a certain touch of crustacean air to it. A little lobster perhaps, or as some residents of coastal Maine call it, wobstah. Summer is just about here, the lawn is starting to beckon, never a good thing, and the threat of steamy hot days lies just a few degrees south of the current sunrise. Beautiful work, a great spiral with most unusual colors and form. Love it!

Gorgeous spiral shapes all so exquisitely melded together. I especially love the textures on the pearls and the lower spiral, and the small shadows under the upper spiral shapes. Very nice touch! :)

I'm not in England, but we celebrated May Day, May 1st when I was a child. We picked flowers, made paper woven baskets and took them to our neighbors. We would knock on the door and then hide and listen to the happy exclamations from the lady of the house when she opened the door to find a basket of flowers on her porch. But women mostly work these days so this stopped being a popular thing years ago. Oh yes, before I forget what I came here for--A beautiful fractal and wonderful colors.

I think I would have called this "Angels of Spring". No, no official celebration now of May Day here in Scotland, but it is said, that if you rise at sunrise and wash your face in the morning dew on May 1st, you'll stay young forever! Dream on :)

Helen, This is different from most of your fractals, color-wise. The beauty is apparent, as always in your fractals. This particular one makes me think of fruit. Tangerines and mandarin oranges! Awesome!

Love your choice of palette, and the textures you've used work really nicely. The image makes me think of warm weather, soft breezes, fragrant blossoms -- nice work!
