Description
I took the advice of all you lovely people and tried to make a texture for the robes I like to use. I scanned my blue jeans, pasted together several copies of a small, smooth square of them to make a 600x600 flate plate of denim. Then I made it grayscale and draped it over the robes' OBJ to see what happened. On the advice of blurededge I upped the resolution to 3k by 3k and played around with colors. This is the result, kinda neat I think. Gonna try to mess with the collar some more on the morrow.

that's really good steel. have you tired setting the material colours to white and using the coloured denim on it? I like the look you got with this 8 )
