Description

"Our intention creates our reality." -Dr Wayne Dyer "Humankind cannot stand very much reality." -T S Eliot "Let us live for the beauty of our own reality." -Charles Lamb "Few people have the imagination for reality." -Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe "Reality is a sliding door." -Ralph Waldo Emerson "What we achieve inwardly will change outer reality." -Plutarch "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." -Albert Einstein

...As I wander through the fern wood, following babbling stream as it winds a silver ribbon beneath the darkling sky, I happen across a hidden pool. It seems lit from within and as I lean closer, I see none other than the street of a small town! I can feel reality slippery around me like the nibbles of small fish against my skin. The veil between worlds is thin here, and without much effort I know I can cross over to this other where, this other when. I poke a tentative toe past the ferns and break the surface tension of the pool. In a fraction of a second that is both instantaneous and forever, I am compressed to the size of an atom and stretched to galactic proportions. A wave of freezing heat washes over me and suddenly I am standing on Main Street, in the small town of Unreality. ----- Thank you for your watery comments on my last upload, Stream Amongst The Ferns.

Geezus H.! It must rain there--look at that gutter! Why the flat roofs then, and who does the tar? If you pay close attention to old Colorado, you will notice many of the architectural ornaments are similar to old Chicago. See, such elements were mass-produced and shipped west by RR. Don't see any of that here, nor any great imitation of NYC. Couldn't be down South could it? Maybe Florida? 'Llafta (who says Merkins can't pronounce some of the more complicated consonant combinations found in some exotic foreign languages?)BRUSH UP on my Ponce de Leon, hehe. (Smiling, garish, cinematic, and subtle all at the same time, and look at that depth).

'Reality is subject to interpretation and conjecture, with no conclusive unified theorum on a given matter possible, as everything is subject to opinion and transmutation over time' - Troy Mathisen. Excellent work Kort! I love your writings, every bit as much as I adore your photography and the research you put into your work! Have an awesome day my friend.
