Description

A Native American elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner: "Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time." When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied, "The one I feed the most." ***** "Ask not what tomorrow may bring, but count as a blessing every day that fate allows you." ---Horace *****

I see sadness in those eyes. Innocent and betrayed. But I like it! (sorry I have to say that)

Oh, thank you very much for a excellent deep philosophical work. Meditating on the life is very wonderful and important. And sooner or later, "That time" will visit us. As is often the case, our unhappiness sometimes becomes a chance to thinking it. (It isn't a meaning "you are so" ) If our life is only happiness, we might not need philosophizing. There is a view "Person's unhappiness is god's chance". It was so for me. The embodiment of this concept is very difficult but you executed it wonderfully!! Thanks again :)

What I like about this it how your eyes make one look off into the direction you are looking at. Hard to explain, I look up, I look down, I look all around.High key is how it should be, A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know. Excelllent revisit to this one. Have a good week. D

When i stare into those beautiful eyes i can tell that you feed the good dog, but evey once in a while the bad dog tricks you into feeding it... .....this is some heavy stuff...

Deep thoughts. It is often hard to reflect upon yourself, but in this image you force the view to do that by confronting them with "their" own reflection. Some people don't like to look in the mirror because perhaps they are not so happy about which 'dog' is in dominance. Each quote tugs one deep into introspection yet is a clarion call to 'wake up' and live righteously for the now. Excellent photo and thoughts!

Well, I'm certainly glad I clicked on this work ( in more ways than one ) first, the work is excellent, and second, I see another artist who loves quotes probably as much as I do ! ...I had heard the first one before, only it was titled "Two Wolves" guess it really doesn't mater though :o) loved all the others too ! hugs

I absolutely loooooooooooooove that native american-quote. The more i feed Eija...the more she poops though. #:o/ Gorgeous photo Marlene, really expressive. I saw at a different site, a category called "Emotive Portraits", and this could be the poster-shot for that. Excellent work. Have a wonderful day! #:O) ...ps...about living life to its fullest. I finally got the grasp of that idea...but it took quite a carcrash to make me realise how precious life really is. #:O)

OH Marlene! You are such a beauty ...inside and out! :-) I love your deep look into yourself in this image and what a terrific shot it is! Excellent tones in the black and white too! That gives it more drama I think. I also, along with everyone else above, really enjoyed reading your words and the quotes. :-) A true joy, as always, to visit your wonderful gallery. Also a sweet dedi to your friend who I will also have to visit now. wink Have a great weekend sweet lady!! (((Hugs))) VOTE
