Hello! Something a bit different from me, today. As usual I came up with this by experimenting with various things (the stairs came first, and the slinky seemed an appropriate complimentary object). This is actually a combination of two frames, modelled in Maya 6.5, rendered with mental ray and composited in Photoshop. I hope you like it!

I like your concept and the colors -- but the slinky's shadow seems to be in the wrong place: the staircase appears lit from above and to the left (see the left side of each step compared to the right). An otherwise fine render!

Hi Denger. Thanks for the comment. You're right - it does look a little odd, but there is only one shadow-casting light (directional - above right), and the shadows are ray traced so physically accurate!
