Make Your Pet's Home Poison Safe: List of Toxic Plants Calla Lily I took this picture back in January when I went to Ventura CA. The place we stayed at had very beautiful gardens. These lilies are toxic to pets. Common Name: Calla Lily Scientific Name: Zantedeschia aethiopiea Family: Araceae Toxic Principle: calcium oxalate crystals Clinical signs: oral irritation, intense burning and irritation of the mouth, lips, tongue, excessive drooling, vomiting, difficulty in swallowing.
