AloooooooHa again!
This probably won't pacify the women that want to see more of the men doing Hula, but I really didn't concentrate on the men...for obvious reasons. I will keep that in mind next year. I thought I would post one for all the mommies out there. This little girl is 5 yrs. old and her passion for hula is very strong. As long as she can get the steps and movements correct she is allowed to join the hula troop. These dancers endure many, many hours of practice to get the movements and steps down correctly. My hats off to all our little Keikei's(children) who perpetuate our native dance.
In this shot I think she was actually more interested in what I was doing then what she was doing...but she's 5 and she's allowed.
