Dude, this is fantastic. He looks so freakin real in grayscale! If I remember correctly this is for a grade, of which I'm sure you'll ace. I'd wish you good luck, but it doesn't look like you'll need it.

This is fantastic! The details are awesome. And the grayscale really makes this look so cool.

Some gorgeous grayscale work, James. A little text-heavy for my taste, and you might have been better served by moving your subject off-center in the composition and letting the text occupy the opposing side. Centered makes him extremely passive and doesn't actively draw the eye around the page; the final panel is the strongest. But enough criticism. The expression, the gestures, all subtle choices and beautifully rendered. Best of all, it makes me want to read the rest. Bravo.

i agree with jobrien about the textheavy part ... but i think its also a beutiful peice of art

Your artwork conveys to me a troubled, educated important man and in just 3 images I'm hooked. It's not just well drawn, it has a unique style, the body language, expressions and text are well thought out. The use of differant styles of text is good, especially how you made key words stand out and smaller text as though he is speaking quietly. He looks like he is facing a real problem,I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks everyone. Joe and veng3nce, you're right, it is text-heavy -- the whole project is text-heavy. The main reason for it is, as Forevernyt hinted at, the project was done as my final assignment in a law class. The comic had to be heavy on the dialogue/captions in order to give reasonable analytical depth to my thesis.

I don't mind it being text heavy, other than that i'd agree with JOBrien, minor criticisms about moving it off centre and such, other than that I love this, fantastic work that i'd love to read more of. You gotta love something that starts with a Trudeau quote.

You have done so much with so little! I wish I could bring my stories to life so easily!
