Description

The second page of my recently-completed graphic novel. This page is just a quick set-up to the main plot. To answer some questions posed in comments to the first page (here and elsewhere): - all male characters, with the exception of Dai Kurozawa (Koji) and Jean Lafitte (James), were created using Apollo Maximus with the Cole morphs. The female figures were more varied, using Jessi for the most prominent female character as well as Miki, Victoria 3 and Aiko 3 for support characters. - the whole project is rather text-heavy, as it was written as a thesis for a law class @ York U. I had to use a lot of text in order to make sure all my research was represented and my thesis was supported. I got an A ;)

I never had any doubts that you would ace it! Now, make me some more alien textures! :) Just kidding. Congrats on the grade and a fantastic job!

I'm really enjoying this show of speculative Canadian political history in graphic novel format. Mind you, I did spend 4 years at York U myself, so perhaps i've got a tolerance for this stuff that others do not. Still though, if this page is indicative of the rest of your thesis i'd say the A was well deserved.

So is self-publication the next step? I'm intrigued enough to pick it up if it shows up at my local Border's. I also noticed you're using a black-and-white format... is that to cut down on printing costs?
