Awesome. How many hours per block did you spend?

Hi Tom - first four blocks each took from six to eight hours to model, the rest less than four. Once I had built up a collection of nondescript buildings that could be scaled, stretched and modified, the work flow got easier. The difficult bit is coming up with unique buildings or elements for each block (and as we all know, that entails a couple of hours staring into space with glassy eyes). Surfacing just got revised (LWO's forwarded to loganarts), thanks to some tips from pnevai. pnevai's also suggested that I throw in some trees and veggies. Maybe the next set of four blocks will feature parks and elevated gardens. Am open to requests and suggestions, and if you feel like modeling your own blocks to help the city expand, please be my guest. ;)

Amazing work! cant wait to download. Great texturing. How much polys?

Polygon counts... the sizes vary from 6,855 polys - 278 kb (Block 004) to only 2,430 polys - 95 kb(Block 010). I try to keep them as low as possible because these are intended as props for more important objects in a scene, (your objects). :)

Thanks, Pmoores. They're already available in the freestuff section if you want to have a go at them. :) nice thing about a block is you just have to rotate and voila, no one will know the difference.

your spacehip interior design is fantastic. but for the way you presenting this blocks you have built this one is my fave. the other image of dystopia is great too, but this one have a stronger composition. fine.

Very nice work man ..Real talent ..me,I just looked at LW for some seconds before I reconsidered my comments on "easy-to-use"! I have some "requests" though, I would like some "slum" blocks, "ready-to-fall"-Buildings u know! And it would be nice with some sort of a transit system, like a sky-track or such ... Very nice work ...
