Description

Hehehe...I told you I've been playing with my dandylions. This is a little different for me and you will probably all hate it but for some reason, I liked the way it came out. This was originally just another photo of a dandylion that has kind of been attacked by a terminal case of "postworkitis" ... tsk tsk I know. To me, it depicts how the dandylion was first formed in the Cenozoic era, 65 million years ago. It shows how, over ions of time, it survived the Ice Age and its current formation has come to be located....in the suburbs. :-/ Please humor me. (((Hugs))) ~*~maggie~*~ Photo taken 5/12/2006 (Quaternary Period) using my Pentax Optio MX4. Postworked in Paint Shop Pro 9.01.

Well I, for one, love it. It looks like the compound eyes of a giant insect, like the sort of avatar Skippy would wear. Also, the background is exquisite. Like a textured relief map, or an aerial photo taken from a great height. I could study it for ages, the waterways and continents spread out on display.

Personally, I like it. But all that's important is that you do.

LOL at 'please humor me'...been there myself, lol. You commented on 'it',(the bad haircut) tonight. But yours is not a bad haircut. It's lovely. The angular lines appear to be cutting the 'crystal' that the dandelion has become.Fascinating work,Maggie, and I love your 'cool' color palette. You've made a snowflake out of a dandelion flower.Love it,and love even more that you are experimenting. It's a risk,I know, especially when you want people to like what you do,but in the end it's that risk that ultimately defines you as an artist...Now,where are the quotes?LOL!Have a wonderful day tomorrow and thanks for the back-commenting.You're a sweetie times ten!(((HUGS)))-M :^)

Im using that word incorrectly....sigh...oh well i am swedish after all. Cool stuff youve got there Maggie. So dandelions survived the Ice Age huh? Not the ones the gay rhinos got a hold of, LOL. #;o) Nice to be home again and see you all. Hope you get to have a wonderful day M&M. #:O)
