Description

Hello all ! Found this baby bird today. He tried to fly but landed on the ground no success. SO he just sat there and shook not knowing what to do next . Some people came by to help rescue him from any nearby cats right after I got this shot. Think he is going to an animal rescue place now. Don't think he would have made it long. No Mother in site ...sigh, Sure hope he ( or she) fairs well . Why can some baby birds take off and others not make it ? Hmmm survival of the fittest or kicked out too young?... something I wondered about today ...my heart went out to him!! Did a tad of my smudge painting to help draw it out. Thank you for all your time and comments !! Love to you all! ((( Big Hugs ))) ♥ ~ Kimmers ! :O) ! !

How dear this little bird and the people who rescued it. Life can harsh, but the animals seem to have a rougher time than we do. Thanks for sharing this wonderful shot. You did a great job smudging it Kimmers. Hugs!

Great shot, but the smudging could've been better -- maybe add a little "film grain" (if you're using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements) to the beak to make it look more realistic and match the rest of the photo.

If birds have facial expression, this one sure looks sad and desperate... just look at that curved beak and the fear in his eye! How could you capture that so well? Excellent shot, Kim!

Super oppertunity. Excellent photo and post work. I heard a man talking to a store clerk yesterday morning about a baby deer he photographed with his camera in phone...it was stuck in the mud and the doe stood nearby. He did not touch the fawn -for this area it is an early birth. Those young are seldome seen and less often photographed. Great capture.

Oh how sweet of youuuuuuu ... that would be something I would do!!! I saw a baby bird last week at work, trying to fly -- and its dumb mother took it by the highway. She flys across both lanes, leaving the baby there. Baby takes a hop or two ON the highway - I had to close my blinds. (even tho I peeked lol) it made it across. THANK GOD. I was ready to rescue that one ... Sorry for the long story .. I had to share. :) Have a wonderful day .. you have such a soft heart. bless you!

Such an incredible shot! Few get this opportunity and you made the most of it. I had a sweet yellow birdee clinging to my finger a few years ago after it had bumped into the window. It stayed for an hour then was able to fly off. I wish a had been photographing at the time! Excellent work Kimmers +++

WOW. Excellent shot !!! Incredible closeup of such a small bird. Sad story but the animal rescue centers are used to dealing with this so I am sure they will get it up and flying soon !!! I read an article somewhere on what to do if you find a baby bird. I will look and see if I can find it for you. I was somewhat surprised by it. Excellent work kimmie !!!! V

Wonderful shot,Kimmie.I like the way you framed it,too.I had a baby bird just like this one in my yard, and I too, felt compelled to rescue it.It turns out there are many birds that have this situation. The baby will usually stay under a bush or something and the parents will continue to feed it there until it's ready to fly off. They,(the bird-rescue people) told me 'rescuing' it was the wrong thing to do,and now it would probably die...sniff sniff...Just thought I should share that with you, because I had no idea.I thought I was helping the little thing.Oh well.Sorry for the babble.Lovely shot,Kimmie and hope you have a wonderful day.-M :^)
