Description

Above you see a Lancaster about to become a statistic. Night bombers rarely had their own fighter cover, so wastage was inevitable once they encountered a persistent and determined enemy fighter. When the RAF motto was invented I don't think they actually had an occasion like this in mind. Flying doesn't get much more arduous than this! Vue5 Inf. Lanc mesh from a RR mate. 190's are Vue objects. Postwork CS2. (I know it's another boring old history lesson folks butI think there should be a story of some sort in every image). Thanks for viewing.

You should better try to make your own meshes. It's more difficult, but more interesting... and a little bit more difficult. Where is the pleasure to use all objects given by others?

It's not boring, Warren. A lot of people don't know it, but the British night bombers lost more crews and planes than any other Allied Air Groups. The crews also had trouble getting around in the Lancaster with parachutes on and so they usually took them off. Often by the time they could put them back on--if they could even get to them--it was too late and they couldn't get out of the aircraft. Great picture!

Great image. And you know, the ones that were caught over enemy territory at dusk were the "pathfinders" of the whole air raid. Something like that is implied in your picture I suppose.
