Description
Everyone has a favorite childhood place. This looks nothing like mine. ;-)
It's my first picture in Vue, though the barn I made in Rhino.
Please let me know how I can improve the picture! Thanks!

Hi Crescent...for a start, you getting 7 for the vegetation planting and that wonderful barn :) Things to improve, first and fore most is the ground terrain texture. It needs just a slight "roughing" up and some irregularities. This can be acjieved by playing with the filters and bumps. Be bold and darring about it but do test render in prewiew (just select your terrain and render selected item) on the fly till you see something you like. Take note that some of the plants are 'buried' too deep in. You don't have to drop them to ground. Do break the rules and raise them according to your surface terrain (example if your terrain is a texture mapped plane). The sky is kind of gloomy and looks like rain is coming. Have to note the lightings on the vegetation and terrain if you want to put "add lights" on them to be seen. May be you want to throw in some rocks from Vue obj collection, rotate and size them and place them at the right place...just it would make the scene a more authentic. Hmmmm..get dirty a bit and give the right area some "weathering" :) ...like those texture on the blades of the plants (very authentic). Are the trees from Vue? The canopy of the leaves looks kind of flat. Hope you find my comment constructive...IMHO of course. Overall composition is great!

I like this one better than Bill does. :-) I think the ground is fine. Reminds of what you'd see at night with a full moon out. Although, a few rock or twigs certainly wouldn't hurt. I overall look just appeals to me.
