Description
This is the real deal, the mother of all mountains made from a .hgt map of the Himalayas. I took quite awhile to get the camera in the right position to get this shot. Although it is a huge mountain, it is very small on the terrain map. Getting the snow to look old and weathered rather than fresh and clean looked more realistic. The truth is Al Gore PM me and asked me to make it look like global warming was effecting the snowpack on Everest...? There is actually strata layers at the top, but that is a render for another day. Good that you could find a POV you liked - maybe some slope restraint on the snow layers, just for definition.
