Description
Like yesterday's post of Everest made with a .hgt map of the real mountain.
Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant stratovolcano and the highest mountain in Africa. Kibo Summit (5,893 m) at the top of Kilimanjaro is one of the few peaks in Africa to retain glaciers.
Scientists use ice cores, an automated weather station, computer modeling, and images like these as tools to learn about the past and present activity of Kilimanjaro

Beautiful mountain and excellent view. I hope Al Gore doesn't read this great article..he will be very upset to know the facts about the Kilimanjaro's stripping of it's snow cap :) Excellent work Joe!!!

Nice view, but there could be some improvements on the surfaces and the clouds, to my opinion.

Nice job on this one Joe, like the fact you even have a slight curve on the horizon, adds to the size of the mountain. Like the way you've done the textures, espencally the snow, looks real.
