And just where dose that put you Cassi, this is a little like that other landscape and I liked it also, I think you should follow this path for a while at least, You should be able to develop it into something rather good I feel.

My eyes and mind are having their feast here! Such a beautiful painting with a deep soul present. - Sorry, Cassie, I've been so quiet but I have enjoyed watching your art every time you've shown it (and my love to dear Jim too, I've loved his work too!) --- this painting has something so touching in it, I can walk there and see so much... Thanks, Cassie, for creating - and sharing!!! :-)

Making a beeline for the end? And where do we stand? Where does our path lead us? Sometimes the most unexpected places turn up, or we end up right back at the start, if we just follow our noses. It makes you think, this picture, and I have to wonder where my thoughts will take me. :D hugs hard

I guess that the grid reference refers to either your home, or else somewhere special nearby? The central square seems to be a map, perhaps of the region around the Hunter River? This is fascinating not only from an aesthetic viewpoint, but also because I sense a gameplaying element to it. Of course, to retain the mystique of the painting, I wouldn't expect you to reveal the mystery of it (if indeed there is one), but I would sure love to learn more all the same! Thanks again for coming up with the creative goods and for being one of the top artists here at Renderosity!

No one had the courage to open Google Earth? L My place is about 300 ft higher than this, and a bit further north west. Stuck for something to paint on my background, I passed this field on my travels last Thursday, and sketched it when I got home. The real scene is somewhat different to this, with more prominent mountains in the background - its on Stoney Creek Road, opposite Mount Vincent Winery, heading into Mulbring. Its always been a bit of a special place for me as it means that we're in the Hunter region, and now nearly home :) Thank you all so much for your lovely comments still blushing from Nigel's

It's a pleasure and an education to work beside you as you're a harvest of ideas, both technical and conceptual. It can be hard to know what to say in a comment when I can tell you face to face (you know what this piece suggests to me) but suffice to say you have my thumbs up and a big hug :-) xxx
