This is engine 01 118, leaving Limburg for Weilburg. Built in 1934 by Krupp in Essen, it has been kept in service ever since! 1650 kW/2240 hp, maximum speed 130 km/h. Photo taken Oct. 5th, 2002, during the "Plandampf im Lahntal" event. Minolta Dimage camera, postwork with Paint Shop Pro.

Excellent shot...wow, look at all that coal stacked up in the tender! Smoke and steam...wish there were more of these old giants still running.
