Description
So this is one of our "exclusive birds" or national bird is the Blue Crane, fish is the Giljeon, tree is the Yellowwood and animal is the Springbok.
There were like 10 of these guys in one tiny enclosure, I really felt sorry for them. This one I shot was busy sunbathing with his wings sprawled out. BTW their wing span is 2.6m --- that's huge!

Just my 350D Doug... I know the focus isn't all there but it's better than yesterday, I under estimated shotting at +300mm will def up the ISO next time...

Vera this must be one of your best nature photographs. Unfortunately these creatures are driven to extinction. Carcasses are poisoned to kill these very important "refuse collectors" and utilise their body parts as muti = traditional medicine!

Very good although the white balance looks a bit off can trick the camera in late afternoon sun.. Great shot nonetheless of one of my fav raptors
