Description

So this is one of our "exclusive birds" or national bird is the Blue Crane, fish is the Giljeon, tree is the Yellowwood and animal is the Springbok. There were like 10 of these guys in one tiny enclosure, I really felt sorry for them. This one I shot was busy sunbathing with his wings sprawled out. BTW their wing span is 2.6m --- that's huge! Tx to all who viewed my tiger yesterday and that for the wonderful wonderful comments!

Yes, better focus than yesterday, but can be improved next time you go to the zoo. Apart from that the photo is superb !

Vera this must be one of your best nature photographs. Unfortunately these creatures are driven to extinction. Carcasses are poisoned to kill these very important "refuse collectors" and utilise their body parts as muti = traditional medicine!

You woudl think that the poisen would be in the vultures body to and make the traditional muti pretty useless...

Great photo. Their eyes seem to peer into your very soul. He rather looks like the family attorney, from the Firm "Gotchur, Mony and Gohn!" LOL!!! Hugs!!!!
