Description

A short walk down the hill from my house will bring you to the Railway that runs between Paignton and Kingswear.(Devon, England) Very popular in the summer with locals and holidaymakers alike. The Steam train was run by the GWR (Great Western Railway company)or as it was more affectionaly known as, God's Wonderful Railway!! This image is for watifeye, who has kindly let me borrow his old steam powered e-machine whilst I save up for a replacement for my dead one. Cheers Pete, Here's to re-inventing the steam engine like we discussed at work on Friday night :) Credits.... I would love to ride on this train. My brother say when he was in England him and a freind rode on a train and as they went thought a town; every one men and women moon the train. Why I do not know, guess it a custom there.

What was the loco? Hall Class? King Class? Smashing photo, I envy you. We only get the awful EMU's along the north kent line. And Railway tannoys that can be heard 4 miles away on a bad day.

Great shot, Steve! But that water looks too cold for skinny dipping. Let's toss Star in & see what she thinks. I hope she can swim... How do you tell when a cat's lips turn blue? "/

Great capture! I'm a fan of steamies and must sheepishly admit that the majority of what I've learned has come from watching Thomas & Friends with my kids. 8^) So I do recognize this Great Western -- a lovely engine!

As a Train Buff. I think this is cool. Very breathe taking and one should be lucky to be around such a piece of history. :)
