Description

Hello All ! Took this one a few nights ago out walking with my girls after dinner at lake Balboa. A homeless man and his wife were waiting for dinner. That of what he caught that day. He brought up the basket from the water and there were lots of small fish flopping everywhich way in it. He told me he also auto details cars and I told him not now, sorry I just bought a new car that is clean. I took this shot of him and thanked him after by putting a few dollers under his wifes wheelchair. The sun was setting quickly and I snapped this - as he turned around the sun came thru his arm holding the basket of his dinner. I think the fish were something called talapia. they sure were jumping here ..!! The fishermans wife was sitting there eyeing the basket with a hungry glare and she told me that she and him were once high school sweethearts and re met again by chance on a bus a few years back and havn't parted since. And now live together in thier car..., And eat alot of Fish! Thank you for all your time and comments ! Love to you all, ((( Big hugs ! ))) ♥ ~ Kimmers ! :O)

awesome lighting Kimarie and story. so many people on the street just made a wrong choice at some time and lost all or just prefer to live on the street. it was sweet of you to give them some money

Gorgious capture. I like how you've caught the setting sun reflecting off the water to give the fisherman a golden hallow.

A very touching story, and an absolutely fantastic capture! Astonishingly beautiful in its simplicity. Always amazed at your abilities in capturing the magic of light at the perfect moment. This one has a special place in my heart at the moment, for my dad is an avid fisherman.....and being so close to father's day, it brought back a lot of memories and made me smile. Thank-you so much for sharing this.

A very touching story and a beautifully lit photo to go with it. It's so sad to hear of people living like this. I'm glad they have a supply of food and that he can feel like he's contributing at least by catching the fish. So kind of you kimmer to give them some money. :-)

Kimmie, you are amazing with the shots you take and the stories you give us every day. this is simply a brilliant piece of work. I've said this before about you. I don't know how you have the time to take pics like these, comment on almost everyones work in many galleries, do post work on your pics and be a mother to your kids...You are one special beautiful woman...thanks for being a good friend here at RR ( I know I just kind kind of mushy here, but it's all true) super big hugs to you my friend.
